S.M. Stirling – In The Courts Of The Crimson Kings

Readable second book in a series with the premise that Mars and Venus were both terraformed and seeded with earth life many, many years ago. Earth discovers this in the ’60’s and a we send people there to investigate.
Not great literature and I still have issues with what seems to be Stirlings views on Islam but it’s engaging enough escapist fare.
If you like E.R.B.’s Mars books but have read them a bunch and want something newer in a similar vein, give it a shot.
