A young girl raised by wolves is the sole survivor of a colony of settlers. She might be the princess that is heir to the kingdom of Hawk Haven so she is brought back to civilization to be put into play in the game of thrones.
If you like your fantasy with a big dollop of political intrigue, then this might be the book for you. It looks like there are 4 or 5 books in the series, but I finished this one and it ended pretty cleanly.
It kept my interest pretty well and I picked up the next two books from the library.
