Steven Erikson – Midnight Tides

This book is sort of my least favorite of the series. But it also has some of my favorite parts in it. Basically, the action is pretty much totally broken off from the earlier books and introduces a whole new part of the world. The book is broken into to main ‘areas’. One of those areas is pretty bleak. I like that Erikson puts a lot of humor in his books, but in sections of this book that deal with Trull Sengar, there is no humor.
On the other hand, the part of the book that deals with the Letheri empire has a bunch of humor and I really dug it.
