Robert Mailer Anderson – Boonville

Dude in Florida finds out his grandmother passed away and left him her house in Boonville, CA. He moves out to start his life over in this little town. It’s a weird place. Lots of local characters. His grandmother carved squirrels so they called her Squirrel Lady. He becomes known as Squirrel Boy.
Some funny moments but not much laugh out loud, more like a lot of grinning to myself type humor.
If you are from Mendocino County you should check it out.
I more or less liked it but I don’t think I’ll be looking for more by the same author. It was a nice change of pace.
