I never watched this show but I might have to check it out.

Freaks & Geeks is great, really really great. They only ever made 17 episodes or something because the show was cancelled pretty quick, Firefly style. It was made by Judd Apatow (producer, writer, director) of Undeclared, 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up and Superbad fame.
