William Dietrich – Napoleon’s Pyramids

An historical romp with an American, Ethan Gage, who wins a mysterious old amulet while gambling in Paris. Bad guys apparently want the amulet and come after Gage, who winds up with Napoleon’s army as it invades Egypt. There Gage becomes involved with a beautiful Egyptian lady, who is more than she seems, and, of course, the villains show up.
A fairly fast moving book. It doesn’t suck but it seems to be missing something. I found myself skimming a lot. Looks like several sequels starring Gage are coming out. I might check those out if I can get em cheap 🙂
