John Scalzi – Old Man’s War

I’ve fallen rather behind in updating what I’ve been reading. Stupid Lord of the Rings Online game.
I liked this book, but I am a fan of Heinlein’s books, and Old Man’s War is sorta like Scalzi’s cover version of Starship Troopers 🙂
There are many differences but it certainly has that Heinlein flavor to it. Basic story is that in the future, when you get to the age of 70, you can join the colonial defence army and go into outer space and fight aliens. And because most people are pretty decrepit by the age of 70, you also get a brand new customized body to kick ass with.
A fun book and I recommend it highly.
