Richard Paul Russo – The Rosetta Codex

A space ship is attacked. A young boy and his guardian flee on a smaller ship. They crash land on a brutal planet that, as it turns out, is basically a prison planet. The boy survives and eventually grows up and reclaims his life. Along the way he discovers a mysterious book that will change everything.
I liked the book, but there is something about Russo’s style…. I dunno. Sorta puts me off for some reason. I have to space his books out with other books in between.
