Thomas Frank: What’s The Matter With Kansas?

Full title is What’s The Matter With Kansas: How Conservatives Won The Heart Of America.
This is a fairly quick and easy read. Basically explores the reasons why so many working class people support the Republican Party, when the Republican Party pretty much works towards making things better for big business, which usually ends up screwing the workers.
I don’t know that the book really told me much I didn’t already know but it might have moved some stuff closer to the front of my brain.
I liked the book but then I am constantly baffled that so many people support the current version of the Republican Party.
Though Thomas Frank doesn’t mention it in his book, I’m pretty sure somebody is putting something in the water to make people stupid 😛
