Patrick Rothfuss – The Name Of The Wind

This is the first in a series. The second is not out yet. Just a warning, if you don’t like waiting.
Basically the story of Kvothe, a legendary wizard type dude, told as story that an adult Kvothe is telling a chronicler. This first book is mostly about Kvothe’s childhood as part of a wandering minstrel troupe and then his time spent in The University, an institute of higher learning that includes courses on magic and that sort of cool stuff.
When the first book ends Kvothe is about to end his time at The University (I think) and move on to other things. I liked the book quite a bit and look forward to the next book in the series.
